John Emanuel Shannon was born in Sheffield, England, but has lived in Malta for many years. His stunning artwork is inspired by artists including John Howe and Alan Lee, as well as Tolkien's fantasy world. John Shannon is entirely self-taught, only entering the world of art aged 30 when introduced to PhotoShop by a friend.
