Artist's description:

"A girl called 'Golden Dawn' dances and in doing so creates the Vesica Pisces. Although the sign is often associated with Christianity, in Pagan times, this glyph was associated with the Goddess Venus, and represented female fertility. It is almond shaped, made by overlapping two circles, the symbol of peace. It is also a doorway or portal between worlds, and symbolizes the intersection between the heaven and the material plane. She is a magical figure charged with a force.

This painting in many ways painted itself. On the way to Beaulieu Estate I came across a bluebell wood, bathed in sunlight and couldn't resist the temptation to paint it. At the time, I was reading the 'Golden Dawn' and read the magical description and symbolism of the Sigil, AGIEL. This painting gradually grew from that. AGIEL shall give thee an Angelic Form:

- Aleph, Air The head winged with golden flowing hair;
- Gimel, Luna Crowned with bluish silver crescent, a beautiful woman with a bluish halo;
- Yod, Virgo The body of a maiden clothed in grass green robes;
- Aleph, Air Huge golden wings;
- Lamed, Libra Limbs well-proportioned and scales of balance (Justice)."
